Satellite Centers

Since its inception in 1959, the Asian Institute of Technology has continuously fostered a multicultural environment for postgraduate education and training that extends beyond geographical boundaries. Reflecting its commitment to assisting higher education in the Asian region through on-site support, AIT has expanded its physical presence into two countries. As a result, today AIT offers fully accredited programs at its affiliated Satellite Centers in Vietnam and Indonesia.

Our Satellite Centers enable the Asian Institute of Technology to provide enhanced opportunities for AIT postgraduate education and research, and continuing education directly in Vietnam and Indonesia. The two Satellite Centers are intended contribute to human resource development and capacity building, supporting each country’s national development. Combined, AIT Satellite Centers allow AIT to project its considerable academic and professional expertise directly on-site, thus supporting education and research capabilities in Vietnam and Indonesia.

AIT Center Vietnam (AIT–CV)

Founded in 1993 as the Asian Institute of Technology’s inaugural Satellite Center, AIT Center Vietnam provides access to our world-class brand of education in Vietnam, and beyond into the Greater Mekong Sub-region and ASEAN. The Center was established with the support of the Ministry of Education and Transportation of Vietnam. Presently, AIT– CV offers postgraduate education and professional development training programs in the academic areas of technology, business management development, environment and rural development, and language and training. AIT– CV is located in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

AIT Center Indonesia (AIT–CI)

Established in 2006, the AIT Center Indonesia (AIT– CI) extends our vision for academic excellence directly to Indonesia. The AIT Center Indonesia, located in Bandung, offers AIT-standard programs in the fields of infrastructure, industry, agriculture and technology. AIT– CI was established with the support of the Ministry of Public Works, Republic of Indonesia.
