, an AARM seminar series will be held on 22 February 2008, 9:00 a.m. at the Milton Bender Auditorium, AIT Extension Building. The seminar will be conducted by Professor Kem Lowry from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, U.S.A.

Background of the presenter

Kem Lowry is professor and former chair of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is also former director of the Program on Conflict Resolution. He has published on evaluation research, environmental mediation, planning theory and coastal management. He has served as a consultant on coastal management in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Hawaii. He is a mediator and a member of the board of advisors of the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Hawaii State Judiciary.
