On a most recent development, Dr. Lohani, who currently serves as the ADB Vice President for Finance and Administration, was conferred an honorary doctorate degree by Griffith University, Australia on 14 December 2007. The honorary doctorate degree which was conferred on Dr. Lohani, on the occasion of the University’s graduation ceremony, recognizes his work and contribution in the areas of sustainable development, environmental issues and poverty as well as instrumental role in breaking new ground in the incorporation of environmental and social considerations in ADB’s lending and development activities.
