Study and research opportunities in Germany: Presentation by DAAD

After the presentation a DAAD Officer will be available for counseling and answering individual questions regarding living and studying in Germany. There are possibilities to explore possible joint research projects and funding opportunities as well.

About Dr. Carolin Mülverstedt:

Dr. Carolin Mülverstedt was born in 1965 in Darmstadt (Germany) and studied German Language and Literature and Chinese Studies at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and at the Shanghai Foreign Language Institute (PR China). After completing a teaching and research assignment at Yale University, New Haven (USA) she started working as a lecturer for German as a Foreign Language at the University of Heidelberg. She was awarded her PhD in 1998 by the university with magna cum laude for a thesis on German Literature of the 20th century.

Dr. Mülverstedt has worked for the Duden publishing house on several projects and was a consultant for a public relations agency before joining the DAAD in 2002. In 2003 she returned to Germany working as Head of Marketing and Communications in the financial and real estate sector as well as for Gunther von Hagens’ exhibition Body Worlds / Korperwelten. She became Director of the DAAD Information Center in Bangkok for a second time in September 2009 and holds a DAAD lectureship at Chulalongkorn University.
