v.research is an initiative to encourage student researchers to hone their ability to convey an idea in a clear, concise and entertaining way. Produce your own video and win a new HD camcorder, cash prizes and more!
The rules are simple:
Compose a 3-minute video about your thesis. You can work as a team or go solo, provided that only one thesis work is covered per video. Use music, narration and other media styles to enhance your video.
Shortlisted videos will be screened and winners will be announced at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium on Monday, 17 May 2010.

1. RULES
The rules are simple: Compose a short video about your thesis. It’s up to you whether you’d like to work as a team or go solo, provided that only one thesis work is covered per video. Use music, narration and other media styles to enhance your chances of winning.
Make the v.research self-contained, so that the audience can understand and learn from it. We encourage a good sense of humor, but will only accept a submission that is based on a valid thesis at AIT. Creativity is a must!
Accepted videos will be screened at the Milton Bender Auditorium on Monday, 17 May 2010. The winners will be announced on the same evening.
- Video Formats: We will accept the following video formats: .MOV and .MP4
- How to register: Send an email to [email protected] on or before April 9, 2010 through your AIT email with the following details:
- Name and Student Number
- Contact Number
- Email Address
- Program (Msc, MEng, PhD)
- Thesis Adviser and Thesis Title
- v.research Title
- Submissions: Drop your video at the v.research box located at the MCU office. Label your disc with the following:
- Name and Student Number
- Contact Number
- Email Address
- Program (Msc, MEng, PhD)
