AIT and NEF-CCN Colleges to offer joint educational programs

This follows the signing of three Memorandums of Agreement (MoAs) by
Prof Said Irandoust, President, AIT and Prof. Sriram Bhagut Mathe,
Chairperson of NEF-CCN on 15 June 2011 at a function organized in
Kathmandu, Nepal.

The first year of the two-year Master’s programs and the first two
years of the undergraduate programs will be offered in Nepal; while the
second year of the Master’s programs and the third and fourth years of
the undergraduate programs will be offered in AIT, Thailand. Students
who successfully complete these programs, will be awarded AIT degrees,
which are well-recognized all over the world.

The agreements will pave the way for the three NEF-CCN colleges,
namely Little Angels (LA) College of Higher Studies, Hattiban,
Lalitpur; WhiteHouse Education Network, Khumaltar, Lalitpur; and Xavier
Academy, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, to offer the two-stage Master’s courses
in Business and Engineering as well as the two-stage Bachelor’s courses
in ICT, and Civil and Infrastructure Engineering.

The agreement signing ceremony was witnessed by Hon’ble Mr. Ganga Lal
Tuladhar, Minister of Education, Government of Nepal, along with a
large gathering of distinguished Nepalese and foreign dignitaries. The
members of the AIT delegation – Prof. Dr. Joydeep Dutta, Vice-President
of Academic Affairs, Prof. Ram Manohar Shrestha, Emeritus Professor,
Mr. Karma Rana, Institute Secretary, and Dr. Pritam Krishna Shrestha,
Head of External Relations and Communications Office also witnessed the
signing.

to help meet the region’s growing needs for advanced learning in
engineering, science, technology and management, research and capacity
building. During the last fifty one years, AIT has produced 18,300

Studies, situated at a prime location in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. NEF-CCN
