The Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees, H.E. Dr. Tej Bunnag, and AIT
President Prof. Said Irandoust cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the
shiny new facility and usher in a new era for consulting services at
AIT. The ceremony was witnessed by a large number of the AIT Board of
Trustees and other distinguished guests. Later, the delegation toured
the spacious office, located on the main campus adjacent to the AIT
Conference Center.
“AIT Consulting is AIT’s
approach for professionalizing consultancy services in an integrative
way,” said Dr. Naveed Anwar, Executive Director of AIT Consulting. He
said the modern office will draw on the tremendous resources existing
at AIT, including its faculty, researchers and facilities for the
benefit of all projects and the Institute.
AIT Consulting now offers integrated expertise and services across a
broad spectrum of areas covering technology, engineering, environment,
development and management, Dr. Naveed emphasized.
In particular, it will offer world-class consultancy services for
industrial, infrastructure and building projects, and for the
development of new enterprises as well as streamlining the management
process in existing enterprises.
AIT Consultancy’s vision is to assist in the application of science
and technology to development in the Asian region. The executive
director said that its mission is to establish higher science,
engineering and technology standards, develop innovative solutions,
tackle challenging issues and collaborate with institutions for sharing
knowledge, information, experience and expertise.
