AIT calls on French Ambassador to Thailand

The ambassador made the comment at a meeting with Chairman of the AIT
Board of Trustees Dr. Subin Pinkayan and Interim President Prof. Worsak
Kanok-Nukulchai, who led an AIT delegation to the French Residence,
Bangkok.

Ambassador Viteau was joined at the meeting by Mr. Sylvain Fourriere,
Deputy Head of Mission, and Mr. Stephane Roy, Attaché for Scientific
and Higher Education Cooperation. AIT was also represented by Prof.
Kanchana Kanchanasut, Vice President for Research, Prof. Kazuo
Yamamoto, Vice President for Resources and Development, and Dr.
Gabrielle Groves Punyaratabandhu, Head, External Relations and
Communications Office.

As a founding member of AIT in 1959, France has been a longtime
supporter of the institute. The officials explored how France, in its
capacity as a strategic partner, could continue to work with AIT. Mr.
Roy highlighted AIT’s successful collaboration with numerous French
Institutions, such as CIRAD and Telecom SudParis, and stated he would
like to see such cooperation continue and expand.
