The appointment was announced by AIT’s Interim President Prof. Worsak
Kanok Nukulchai. Dr. Swierczek takes over from the outgoing AITCV
Director Dr. Amrit Bart, who is moving to the University of
Georgia.
Dr. Swierczek is a founding faculty member of the AIT School of
Management (SOM) and has previously served as the Director of AITV in
2007. Dr. Swierczek has extensive experience working in Vietnam having
also served as the Coordinator of the International Executive MBA
Program in Vietnam. He served as Associate Professor in SOM from
1989-2006.
Dr. Swierczek obtained his Bachelor’s in Arts from Temple University
(1972), Master’s (1975) and Doctorate from University of Pittsburg
(1978).
AITCV was founded in 1993 and provides access to AIT programs in
Vietnam, the Greater Mekong Sub-region and ASEAN. AITCV offers
postgraduate education and professional development training programs
in the academic areas of technology, business management development,
environment and rural development, and language and training.
