The two-member LinkedIn team, which included Atul Harkisanka, Regional
Sales Manager, Talent Solutions, and Karen Choi, Sales Manager,
stressed the need for students to create adequate and proper profiles
that could facilitate their job search. Addressing over a hundred
students at the AIT Conference Center, Atul also suggested that
students should include their project work in their profiles, and top
it with recommendations and endorsements.

Speaking to students at the event organized by AIT’s Career Center,
Atul stated that numerous new products have been incorporated in the
overall LinkedIn portfolio, including articles from top quality
magazines and newspapers. Karen delivered a presentation on how to
create good profiles on LinkedIn.

Earlier, they met the AIT President Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai,
where they mentioned that LinkedIn was focusing on three aspects,
namely identity and branding, networking, and knowledge. Atul mentioned
that out of an estimated 700 million professionals in the world,
LinkedIn now boasts of 380 million professional profiles. Also
participating in the discussion was Dr. Gabrielle Groves
Punyaratabandhu, Head, External Relations and Communications Office
(ERCO).
