AITAA DOCTORAL CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
The AITAA provides support to AIT Doctoral students to enable their
participation and attendance in international conferences. The aims
are to promote the sharing of knowledge and experience, and to project
AIT’s research image and reputation. The AITAA will provide financial
support towards the cost of travel.
Rules
- Doctoral students who have passed their ‘Advancement to Candidacy Examination’
are eligible to apply. He/she is entitled to only one opportunity to avail
of the AITAA Grant. - A faculty adviser may nominate a candidate. The nomination must be accompanied
by a submission form from the nominee. - The following documents should be submitted by the applicant:
- A copy of the conference announcement
- A letter from the Doctoral faculty adviser that the selected conference
is a recognized international conference and that the paper is based on
the student’s Doctoral dissertation - A copy of his/her paper that is to be presented at said international conference.
(The student maybe a co-author). - A letter of acceptance from the Conference Organizing Committee stating
that the paper will be presented. - The applicant’s travel itinerary and proposed budget.
- A note stating the reasons for the conference and the benefits to be derived
from attending it.
