Prof. Vinod K. Jindal, a faculty member of the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), and Doctoral degree candidate, Mr. Suwan Homhual, were honored by the Information and Electrical Technologies (IET) Division of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers with the IET Select Paper Award.

The two co-authored the paper ‘Applying Neural Networks for Rapid Assessment of the Microbiological Quality of Bulk Raw Milk’.

The award was announced at the Society’s 2000 Annual International Meeting, held last July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

The IET Select Paper Award is given in recognition of authorship of an outstanding paper following a two-tier review process.

In his congratulatory message, Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, SERD Dean, said, ‘This award demonstrates not only the outstanding research accomplished by Prof. Jindal and Mr. Suwan, but also the recognition given by our peers to SERD’s high research standards.’
