KNOWLEDGE DISSEMINATION: LIFE AND WORK OF GENDER AMBASSADORS IN INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, to be presented by Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein, Executive Director of the Water Research and Training Centre (WRTC) for a new Burma, in The Netherlands, on Thursday, 9 November, 2000, 13:30-15:00, Room E108 The centre works for the Burmese people by promoting and improving their access to research, training and education in water and rural sector in Burma and abroad.
The seminar deals with how knowledge has become a commodity in this electronic era. If one is to aim for sustainable development for developing countries, there have to be some changes in the transfer of knowledge. In order to make the knowledge dissemination process smooth, efficient and effective, one needs Gender Ambassadors who are well versed with Integrated Water Resources Management.
