1. MAP INFO TRAINING

Map Info Thailand will offer training on Map Info GIS Software, following the schedule below. STAR students and students registered in the course
AT00.01 will be given preference.

23 January – 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon
26 January – 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
6 February – 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon

Training will be held in room E233, Institute Wide GIS Lab, Academic Building South.
The number of trainees will be limited to 30 only. Students will be registered on a first come, first served basis. For those who would like to join the training, please e-mail Dr. Tripathi at: [email protected]

2. WORKSHOP FOR THE THAI HOTELS ASSOCIATION

The Management Development Center (MDC) of the School of Management supported by the GTZ-AIT Cooperation Program is organizing a workshop entitled ‘Trends in the European Travel Industry’ for the Thai Hotels Association, to be held on Friday, 25 January at 1 pm. to 4:30 p.m. in Room 108, SOM Building.

The workshop will be conducted by Prof. Alfred Merl of the University of Salzburg, Austria and Dr. Clemens Bechter of the School of Management.

3. ITSERV USER TRAINING

In order to familiarize new users with the Institute’s Internet services, ITServ will conduct a series of user training as follows:

28 Jan. – E-mail and other Internet applications
30 Jan. – Remote dial-up services
31 Jan and 1 Feb. – HTML and Web Publishing

The training will be held at the Milton E. Bender, Jr. Auditorium from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
Interested persons are invited to attend. Prior registration is not required.

4. ACECOMS SATELLITE CONVENTION 2002

ACECOMS is organizing a ‘ACECOMS Satellite Convention 2002’ to be held on Thursday, 31 January
to Saturday, 2 February 2002 in Room N238 and JICA Room, SCE Building
.

The convention will be conducted by Mr. Naveed Anwar, Associate Director, ACECOMS.
