Visiting AIT

Prof. Huub Gijzen of the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, the Netherlands, visited AIT on 14 January, to discuss the proposed joint Master Degree Program to be offered by IHE and AIT.

On 15 January, Prof. Marten Carlsson, Chairman of Sida Research Board, came to AIT to familiarize himself with AIT and the energy /technology academic and research programs that are supported by Sida/SAREC (ARRPEEC, RETs and ARRPET). He met with the members of the AIT administration including Dr. Sivanappan Kumar, Energy Program Coordinator, Prof. Ram M. Shrestha, Coordinator of the Energy Economics and Planning field of study; and Dr. Ajit P. Annachhatre of the Urban Environmental Engineering and Management Program.

Prof. Jacques Rojot, Director of the School of Management, University of Paris I, Sorbonne, France, visited AIT on 16 January, to discuss possible collaboration between his institution and AIT. He met AIT officials and faculty members of the School of Management (SOM), including Prof. Himangshu Paul, SOM Dean, and Prof. Joel Broustail.
