Malaysians investigate AIT’s energy programs

On 07 July 2006 , a delegation from The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Mechanical Engineering Technical Division), Malaysia visited AIT. The objective of the visit was to study the roles of AIT in energy efficiency and renewable energy for Asia and other developing countries.

Later, the delegation visited and met with faculty and Prof. Surapong Chirarattananon , acting dean of the School of Environment , Resources and Development.

In conclusion, the delegation visited the Energy Park .

The delegation was comprised of: Mr. Ir Luk Chau Beng, chairman; Mr. Ir Lum Youk Lee, deputy chairman; Mr. Ir Cheong Thiam Fook , secretary/treasurer; Mr. Ir Gopal Narian Kutty , advisor; Mr. Ir Cheng Chee Song , committee member; Mr. Ir Noor Hisham bin Yahya , committee member; Mr. Ir Ong Hoo Teong , committee member.

They met Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing , alumni relations coordinator , Mrs. Hnin Aye Lwin, program officer, External Relations and Communications Office and Malaysian student Ms. Seow Yoke May .
