Over 300 visitors make “Visit AIT Day” a grand success

Over 300 participants including 190 students and 132 guests
participated in the “Visit AIT Day” recently. Visitors were mesmerized
by the green AIT campus, the mini cultural show and participated in the
quiz contest organized by the AIT Students Union, apart from savoring
delicious International food.

The visit was described by Thai students and their parents as
“exciting”, with most of them yearning to join AIT at the earliest.

In the evening, there was a mini cultural show for all visitors and
guests. Participants from Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan put up a
performance for the prospective students and their guests. Ably
compeered by Thitikan Satchabut Peace of NRM and Amandeep Singh of SERD
who interspersed the cultural show with their witticisms and quiz
questions, the day ended with a robust dance by students from
Pakistan.

One aspect that struck visitors was the multicultural atmosphere at
AIT. The first taste of multiculturalism was the free International
lunch hosted at the Cafeteria where students from various countries set
up their own little counters to offer them specialties from their
respestive countries.

Pheerawat Plangoen, a prospective student of Water Engineering and
Management at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) was
impressed by the multicultural atmosphere at the AIT. He says, “AIT has
a very nice atmosphere and I feel it is a very good university. In my
opinion, I think many overseas students come to study here which is
what makes it very good”.

The atmosphere at AIT is what impressed Pramuk Jareeprasit who is
joining the School of Management. “First of all, I love the atmosphere
here; it is very nice and I particularly love the green color”. He
considers AIT a good place which is known for its academic
excellence.  “I think AIT is very good and my friends have told me
about this institute and so I knew about AIT from before. A lot of my
friends have told me that this is a very good institute”, he
adds.

Another prospective student at Food Engineering and Bioprocess
Technology at the School of Environment , Resources and Development
(SERD), Thawunporn Pananun is very excited at joining AIT. “I have
always been very interested to study here. I think this university is
very good and it provides all facilities to students”, she says.

For Nattamon Sartsatit who is aspiring for a Masters from SOM, it was
AIT alumni who have proved to be her mentors. “I have always had a very
good impression about AIT because I know some alumni who are very
successful and are great mentors in my life”. A lot of people say that
environment is not as important as curriculum but I think otherwise,
Nattamon says. AIT environment is excellent and it plays a big part in
quality education. I have visited AIT several times and I have always
been impressed by the campus before and I know that this is my
place.”

We all agree with them. Don’t we?
