I-TIM interested in AIT training courses

A delegation from I-TIM today met
senior representatives from School of Management (SOM) and AIT
Extension on July 23 and sought information of training courses
currently being offered by AIT. The team led by Dr. Sawat Udampach,
advisor to I-TIM president, remarked that having known AIT’s expertise
in running training programs, the two institutes could explore the
possibility of a partnership.

I-TIM, which was founded in 1988, was Thailand’s first hotel and
tourism school which imparted education and training in English. It
attracts students from all over the world who are interested in the
hospitality industry, particularly since Thailand is famous for tourism
and hospitality.

The delegation from I-TIM included Mr. Panitan Supawong, School
Director; Mr. Sunil Weragoda, Director of Academic Affairs; Mr.
Akewichian Suthiglad, Director of Education Promotion and Student
Affairs; Ms. Suprangporn Diewviriyakul, Director of Administration; Mr.
Somkiat Wongjeeraphat, Head of President Office; Ms. Pornpimol
Cheewapattananuwong, Assistant Director, Educational Promotion and
Student Affairs.

Ms. Wannapa Pliansri, Coordinator, RTG Relations, External Relations
and Communications Office (ERCO), introduced AIT to the delegates. Mr.
Fazle Karim, Head, Informational Technology and Engineering, AIT
Extension informed the visitors of the various programs offered by AIT
Extension. Dr. Rian Beise-Zee, Associate Dean, School of Management
(SOM) elaborated on the academic programs offered by the School of
Management.
