TSF training for AIT volunteers

08 Jun 2011
AIT

The volunteer program is open to all AIT students who possess computer and telecoms skills (particularly students from the fields of telecommunications, computer science, DPMM and RS-GIS).

The selection procedure for this volunteer program and training is the following:

  • Candidates should send their application (CV + cover letter) to [email protected]. Deadline for submission is Monday 23 May.
  • TSF will pre-select a list of candidates and submit this pre-selection to AIT for approval. Only candidates who have been previously approved by their Dean and/or Advisor can participate in the TSF Training and become volunteers.
  • Selected volunteers to be trained from 8-10 June will be informed by Monday 30 May 2011.

Applicants should be aware that missions require a minimum availability of two weeks. Students will have to catch up on classes and/or exams missed during the mission upon their return.

Once the training has been completed, the new volunteers will join TSF’s roster of volunteers for emergency response in Asia-Pacific. When on mission, all costs linked to a volunteer’s participation are covered by TSF (flights, accommodation and food).
