Dr. Donyaprueth Krairit, Acting Dean of the School of Management (SOM),
welcomed the latest batch to AIT at a lavish orientation ceremony in
downtown HCMC attended by the Consulate General of Switzerland, HR
Manager of Zuellig Pharma Vietnam, Director of SPIN project in Vietnam,
among others, including iEMBA alumni, and current iEMBA students.

The 16-month program includes two extensive study visits to the AIT
main campus in Thailand and Bangkok to strengthen students’
international business experiences with foreign executives, and to gain
global perspectives.

Up north in Hanoi, the AIT iEMBA program welcomed its 14th incoming
class on August 22. The Hanoi iEMBA batch includes twenty-four students
from state agencies such as Ministry of Industry and Trade, EVN,
VINACOMIN, General Department of Taxation, Vietnam Cleaner Production
Center, and a variety of foreign and Vietnamese corporations such as
Microsoft, Embassy of Brazil, Get Green Project, Vietnam Mobile
Communication Center, Vietnam Float Glass Corporation, and
Vietjet.

Each year the iEMBA program attracts middle and senior-level
executives of private and public companies, joint-ventures and
representative offices in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Zia Islam, Senior Academic Officer, the SOM
program emphasizes approaches in business and management that are
global, relevant to the Asia-Pacific context, and applicable in
Vietnam. With a double specialization in International Business and
Management of Technology, the program curriculum offers a unique
opportunity for managers in different sectors to acquire relevant
analytical skills to solve real-world problems.

The AIT International Executive MBA Program has been conducted in
Hanoi, Vietnam since 2000. It signifies AIT’s ongoing
positioning to build up professional capacity
and assist human resource development in the country in the
lead up to the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
