AIT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a specific Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to launch an International Bachelor’s-Master’s Unified Program with the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), a leading private liberal arts-based university in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

AIT President Dr. Eden Woon signed the agreements on 1 September 2020 with Prof. Shamsad Mortuza, Pro Vice-Chancellor, who represented ULAB and extended the felicitations of its Vice Chancellor Prof Jahirul Haque.

The Unified Program enables qualified final year undergraduate students from ULAB to join AIT to complete a project in October, which will be co-supervised by faculty members from both institutions. They will then have the opportunity to pursue their Master’s degree program at AIT starting in January 2021.

Students from ULAB undergraduate programs in Arts, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have wide-ranging options to choose from Master’s programs at AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology, School of Environment, Resources and Development and School of Management.

President Woon and Pro Vice-Chancellor Mortuza both recognized the instrumental work of Prof. Joyashree Roy, Bangabandhu Chair Professor at AIT, and the Embassy of Bangladesh to Thailand, for their vital support in establishing the new partnership.
