Chengdu University (CDU) is a public university located in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province in China, and has over 24,000 undergraduate students, 1,400 graduate students, and a faculty of over 1,500. AIT and CDU established partnership in 2020, and the two institutions are currently in talks for tightening their partnership through the signing of a memorandum of agreement for exchange.

“I hope this event will further strengthen the close relations between Chengdu University and our partner institutions across the globe,” said Professor Wang Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University.

The afternoon session was led by the Offices of International Affairs of AIT and CDU, aiming to introduce AIT to CDU students. Wearing a mask and following social distancing protocol, around 100 CDU students joined the session in the university auditorium while the AIT president, deans and officials joined online. From CDU, the Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Vice Dean of Business School joined the Hybrid session.

President Woon delivered the welcome remarks to the students, and the Dean of School of Engineering and Technology(SET), Dean of School of Environment, Resources and Development(SERD) and Dean of School of Management(SOM) all shared their suggestions to the students on how they can prepare for studying overseas and many benefits they can achieve through studying in AIT, an inspirational, international and inclusive community.
