A group of AIT Chinese Alumni in Thailand, led by Mr. Liu Chongming (SEC’93), presented to AIT President Dr. Eden Woon the third installment, in the amount of THB 200,000, towards their One Million Baht Student Exchange Scholarship Fund donation.
Dr. Woon thanked the alumni for the gift donation and stated that Student Exchange Scholarship Program is very important for our students, as AIT want the students to have a broader experience not only in the classroom or laboratory but also an international exposure around the world where AIT has agreements with prestigious Universities.
Mr. Liu mentioned that the group had promised to contribute for five consecutive years and this is the third installment of their THB 1 Million donation and may consider continuing the support beyond this period. They are grateful for the chance to give something back to AIT in different ways and are fully supportive of the Experiential Learning initiative of Transforming AIT.
Ms. Bai Zixuan, a Master student in Business Analytics and Data Transformation in the School of Management, from Hebei province, China, is one of the recipients of the AIT Chinese Alumni in Thailand Student Exchange Scholarship and expressed her gratitude to the donors. She will be exchanging to EDHEC in Paris starting in January 2022 for the Spring Semester.
