INDEX International Group Public Co. Ltd. will offer three full Master’s scholarships for Thai students to pursue their studies at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Dr. Chainarong Na Lamphun, CEO of Index International Group Public Co. Ltd. and Dr. Eden Y. Woon, President of AIT signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 24 November 2021.
The scholarships are available to students to be enrolled in the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD), and the School of Management (SOM). After completion of their studies, the recipients will have the opportunity to work with INDEX.
President Woon thanked the Na Lamphun family and INDEX for consistently supporting AIT over the years through the provision of scholarships which have truly benefited the academically qualified and financially needy Thai students to complete their Master’s degree. The commitment to help AIT is evident by the fact that this is the third Memorandum of Agreement that has been signed between INDEX and AIT. This is in addition to the various other generous donations Dr. Chainarong and his family have given to the Institute.
Dr. Chainarong, a prominent AIT alumnus, remarked that he is always happy to come back home again to AIT and thanked the Institute for providing him and his family with the quality education, which has led them to be successful in their lives and business careers. He added that he would like to give back to AIT in any capacity that he and his company can contribute.
Mr. Rathawit Na Lamphun, who is currently taking his PhD in the School of Management and the Assistant Executive Chief Officer of INDEX also attended the signing ceremony.
