Germany and AIT celebrate 30 years of cooperation

The Federal Republic of Germany and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) celebrated 30 years of their cooperation at a reception hosted by H.E. Mr. Andreas von Stechow, German Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, on December 9, 2002 at his residence in Bangkok.

Among the dignitaries attending the event were H.E. Mr. Anand Panyarachun, former Thai Prime Minister and Chairman of AIT Board of Trustees; H.E. Mr. Chaturon Chaisang, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Juergen Koch, Director of GTZ Bangkok Office; Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President; Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Provost; Prof. Gothom Arya, Registrar; current and former GTZ seconded faculty to AIT; AIT faculty and senior staff members; and recipients of German scholarships.
