AIT participated for the second time in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which looks at global universities’ commitment and performance in furthering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over 1,200 universities from 98 countries participated this year, and the results, published on April 21, 2021, place AIT in the global top 101-200, with five individual goals in the top 100.


We took part in the 12 SDGs (below), including the mandatory SDG17, and our results were as follows:

AIT ranked overall: (101-200)

· SDG2 Zero Hunger (67)
· SDG5 Gender Equality (401-600)
· SDG6 Clean Water and Sanitation (101-200)
· SDG7 Affordable and Clean Energy (101-200)

· SDG10 Reduced Inequalities (301-400)
· SDG11 Sustainable Cities and Communities (101-200)
· SDG13 Climate Action (201-300)
· SDG14 Life Below Water (64)
· SDG15 Life on Land (80)
· SDG17 Partnership for the Goals (58)
